All about Brown Rice

Its’ been a week since we tried eating brown rice. I heard a lot of benefit in eating brown rice instead of white rice. All my life I was eating white rice, for a few days that I tried eating brown rice, it somehow amazed me. I am not constipated anymore. Although brown rice is not as sweet as white rice but I don't care about it… all that matters is that my whole family is getting healthier.

Actually, brown rice and white rice have similar amount of calories, carbohydrates and protein. Brown rice is the removal of the outer layer of the grain of rice (husk) while white rice is removing the underneath layer. Removing underneath layer will result to losing the several vitamins and dietary minerals. So it's really clear here that brown rice is better. :)

Cooking tips: 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of brown rice. Usually we cook 4 cups of rice and water should be 8 cups. Brown rice is expensive compare to white rice but it also save us because if we eat brown rice it can easily make us feel full. So it’s also beneficial not only in our health but also in our pocket.

Some of my friends told me that I should stop eating rice for diet purposes but every time they suggest that I really feel bad because I know that I can't stop eating rice. It's good to know that in this way I can still eat rice and still stay healthy. And this stops me from worrying so much about my diet.
